Living with Cancer and Its Treatment

Cancer treatments vary depending on your diagnosis, and patient responses to treatment also vary. These guidelines will help you understand and deal with many common reactions and symptoms you may experience from your cancer or its treatment. Your own experience will be unique, of course, so we encourage you to ask us about any questions.

Breast Cancer Treatment

Treatments for breast cancer vary depending on the stage of your cancer and many other factors your doctor/nurse will can discuss with you. These guidelines cover areas that are most specific to women with breast cancer. You can read about breast structure and function, diagnosis, and treatment in other brochures included in the breast cancer education packet.  Also available from your nurse, Gare guidelines to help you cope specifically with side effects of chemotherapy, should you receive it, are also available.  Your own experience will be unique, of course, so we encourage you to ask any questions and also to share your experiences with us so others can benefit from them.
