If diagnostic testing reveals early-stage breast cancer, Northland Cancer Center offers a specialized Breast Care Program. The program was developed to give patients access to a surgeon and radiation oncologist within 48 to 72 hours of diagnosis. Patients are also assigned a Nurse Navigator (nurse with advanced training) to help coordinate the patient's care, provide information and give emotional support.

Northland Cancer Center has 2 of the approximately 300 Nationally Certified Breast Care Nurses in the entire country.
